Director S S Rajamouli’s ‘Magadheera’ starring Ram Charan Teja-Kajal Agarwal had its music launch in a grand manner at Shilpa Kala Vedhika, Hyderabad on Sunday evening.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ravi Teja, Srikanth, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Teja, Kajal, Raghavendra Rao, Ramanaidu, Ashwini Dutt, Rajamouli, Murugadoss, Sreenu Vytla, V V Vinayak, Allu Aravind, Devi Varaprasad, Dil Raju, Surender Reddy, Bommarillu Bhaskar, Krish, Sunil, Mehar Ramesh, P Venkateswara Rao, Keeravani, writer Chinni Krishna, lyricist Chandra Bose, Srihari, Ali, Venu Madhav, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Rama Rajamouli, and others graced the event. .
The making the ‘Magadheera’ was shown through clippings. All the guests gave their opinions about the film before the release of audio album.
Naga Babu addressing the gathering said, “All the best to the entire team of ‘Magadheera’. My sole wish is that I request everybody to ask my brother Chiranjeevi to act in just one film.”
Chinni Krishna said, “Puri Jagannath kicked off Ram Charan Teja’s film career in a particular angle and Rajamouli fine tuned it in many dimensions giving a feel of Maniratnams and Shankars in Tollywood.”
Ravi Teja said, “Rajamouli is going to make yet another hattrick. Charan is superb…I’ve no words for him”.
Srikanth wished, “I wish Magadheera to become mega mega hit film.”
VV Vinayak, Murugadoss, Sreenu Vytla, Bommarillu Bhaskar and Surender Reddy appreciated SS Rajamouli and opined that they are longing to watch ‘Magadheera’ after watching its trailor.
Ali and Venu Madhav entertained the audience with their humourous conversation. Ali started the conversation as, “If my brother Chiranjeevi is ‘Magadheerudu’, his son Ram Charan Teja is ‘Magadheera’.
Mehar Ramesh said, “Ram Charan is a mix of Chiranjeevi gaaru and Pawan Kalyan. This film no doubt would stand for its high quality in Tollywood.”
Dil Raju said, “Hatsoff to Rajamouli for such a wonderful film. This is an extra-ordinary and mind blowing film. I will definitely come up with a good story and make a film with Ram Charan Teja soon. After Magadheerudu, Magadheera is definitely at par with it.”
Krish said, “I’ve seen a small episode of horse riding in the desert scene. It really a classic piece of work. No doubt this film is going to break all the box office records”.
Chandra Bose expressed his happiness for the opportunity to write lyrics for this film and he sang one of the songs which he wrote.
Sunil opined that Ram Charan Teja has out performed his father in dances. He gave a picture perfect performance in ‘Magadheera’.”
MM Keeravani said, “Ram Charan Teja has a great future. I feel very proud to see everyone praising my younger brother Rajamouli. Chiranjeevi gaaru gave life to the song ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta’ and the same is going to be continued through his film”.
Srihari said, “What I’ve been saying all along about this film, it is nice to hear from everyone the praises on the movie which I’ve been voicing for so many days. Infact this film can be considered equal to the 100 films of Allu Aravind. feel proud of every technician and artist who worked for this film.” He further added by comparing the film with Niagara Falls and said that it is a feast to eyes.
Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao requested Chiranjeevi to do one more film and said, “Chiranjeevi broke many records, similarly Charan too will break the box office records and become a top hero.”
“I’m extremely proud to be the part of this wonderful film. I think Charan is the most amazing co-star. I thank Rajamouli sir and Rama madam for giving me this opportunity”, said the gorgeous looking Kajal.
The audio cassettes were released by Megastar Chiranjeevi and were presented to Aswini Dutt, Ramanaidu and Raghavendra Rao. The audio CDs were released by Power Star Pawan Kalyan and were presented to Srihari, Ravi Teja, Allu Arjun and Srikanth. The audio albums are marketed by Aditya Music Company.
Rajamouli said, “All directors would like to direct a film with Chiranjeevi and I too got the opportunity to do a scene with him. Everyone is aware of Charan’s dances and fights after watching him in Chiruta. But in ‘Magadheera’ I brought out yet another capacity in him, that is perfect horse riding.”
Raghavendra Rao said, “After watching the trailor I felt that Ram Charan Teja will cross the titles Mega Star and Power Star. His performance was so amazing in the film. This movie is sure to become the block buster.”
Ram Charan Teja said, “I thank all the fans who gave their support to our family for so many years. The entire credit goes to Rajamouli who directed one such prestigious film and presented to the Telugu Film Industry. My father is my inspiration and my search light so with that inspiration I did the remix number ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta’. I do not know whether I did to the expectations of the audience. MM Keeravani did an amazing job. All the technicians put in their efforts for the film to make it big. I promise to do two films a year from next year onwards. I will work hard to entertain the audience through good films.”
Power Star Pawan Kalyan said, “I usually get scared to talk in these cinema functions but I would like to say a few words about this film, especially about horse riding. Charan knows the tactics to control horses right from his childhood. I feel proud of him for making his father proud. I wish the entire team to get a big success. Last but not the least, even if my brother is in politics I pray that he acts atleast in one movie to the satisfaction of his fans”.
Chiranjeevi started his speech in a political style and said, “This venue is filled with full of love and affection. You all are my people. I miss these vibrations for quite some time. Real love is in the film industry and not in politics. Politics is filled with full of selfishness whereas for the past 30 years I’ve been seeing the love and affection in the film industry. Everyone wanted me to do the film but can it be possible for me? Because I’ve not thought of the film even a single day after entering into politics because I was so busy in my schedules. Chirutha was titled after my name on sentimental grounds whereas even his second film incidentally happened to be related with my film’s title. Keeravani’s musical support for this film is a great asset. ‘Bangaru Kodi Petta’ song in Gharana Mogudu made me dance instantly. It was Prabhu Deva who choreographed that song in Gharana Mogudu. But Charan’s dance steps are mind blowing in the remix number as Sunil said. I liked the story which is unique with rebirth as a concept. Rajamouli is really a No. 1 director because he never thinks of anything else except cinema. Charan is lucky to get a director like him and a film like ‘Magadheera’. I really felt jealous of Charan when I saw him in horse riding scenes. I thank Srihari for his support to Charan in the movie. Ghajini’s profits helped to finance this film for Allu Aravind. With so many people’s support I left Charan in the film industry and entered into politics. I thank each and everyone who attended this function for coming and giving their support. If the circumstances happen in a positive way I may do a film but nothing is in my hands. I’m very confident that ‘Magadheera’ will be a super duper hit.” Speaking further he appreciated Kajal for her glamourous role and performance in the film.
The programme ended with a huge garland on Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan Teja together. Power Star Pawan Kalyan gave away the mementos to all the blood donors to Chiranjeevi Blood Bank.

A couple of days ago Saakshi TV has virtually flown Chiranjeevi to the skies in its Focus program. The program described in detail how he struggled to reach, where he is now and what sort of a steadeast person he is. The channel was all praise for him. It has even predicted that Chiranjeevi has a bright political career ahead. Why all of a sudden Congress and Saakshi are so affectionate towards him? To know it, we have to wait till the local body elections in the State commence. |

 With Tamil version of "Billa", Nayanatara's remuneration shot upto above one crore. In the same way she exhibited her glamour in another Tamil flick "Egan". As a producer it is the first movie for dance director Raju Sundaram while Ajith and Navadeep played the main roles. Snehal International Movies is dubbing it in to Telugu. Producer Vagicherla Muralikrishna informed that Ajith is a police officer and Navadeep a student. As a teacher Nayanatara's glamour would be an added attraction for this movie. Prakasam district court has issued summons to Chiranjeevi in a case booked by Chirala police for campaining after ten PM. He is to present himself before Parchuru court on 29th of this month. Legendary pop singer Michael Jackson is no more. He passed away last night at the age of 50 after he suffered a heart attack at his home in Holmby Hills, California, and failed to recover even after repeated resuscitation attempts. He created history with the hugely popular album, Thriller (1982), which still holds the record of highest selling album that crossed sales of 10 million albums. Michael Jackson’s impact is also seen in Tollywood.
In most of early Chiranjeevi’s dances, later in Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna’s steps, you could see the influence of Jackson. In fact, choreographers like Prabhu Deva introduced break dances to Telugu film with the influence of Jackson. In films like Chiranjeevi’s Gangleader, Gentleman, the steps he composed are similar to the Jackson’s.

“He was my biggest inspiration and I idolised him. I’m still in a daze and it will take time for me to come to reality.”

Uday Kiran has celebrated his birthday (Friday, June 26, 2009) with joy as he is doing another film in Telugu. The handsome actor has been going through rough patch and now he believes that it would be brighter this year. He has signed new film in Telugu with heroine Swetha Basu Prasad. The film was announced today at Green Park hotel and at the same venue his birthday was celebrated. New producers D Kumar and M Eeshwar Vara Prasad are producing it on Chanikya Media banner while new director Subha Selvam is handling the megaphone. The film will commence its regular shoot from July end.

Venkat (Varun Sandesh), a graduate, lives with his brother and their family and lives off conning others for petty things. He falls in love with Madhumita on a very first sight after getting a glimpse of her face on broken glasses. He woos her with his wit, his helping nature and other pranks. Due to some understanding, he breaks the marriage of Madhu’s sister but he keeps it as secret. When Madhu accepts Venkat’s love, it comes out in the open that he broke his sister’s marriage. How both the lovers unite again after misunderstandings cleared forms rest of the story.
Analysis
Prestigious production house has chosen Evaraina Epudaina for its re-entry into Telugu Cinema. Well-known editor Marthand K Venkatesh’s brother Marthand K Shankar has directed this film with one of the rising stars - Varun Sandesh. Naturally, the film has created good buzz. But the film doesn’t boast anything new. With wafer thin plotline, the debutant director has tried to completely focus on the comedy and hero’s characterization. First half of the film goes smooth by and large but post the interval the movie has nothing substance to hold on the audiences’ interest.
The director has completely put onus on the shoulders of hero Varun Sandesh and the comedians, leaving the main element of romance aside. The so-called interval bang is confusing. It is more of a cheating, in fact. Just for the convenient of the writer, it was included.
Entertainment, first half, hero Varun Sandesh’s performance and neat cinematography are the main assets. Forced situations, unconvincing interval bang, and lengthy second half have worked against the movie.
Performances
Unlike Happy Days and Kotta Bangaru Lokam, Varun Sandesh has more aggressive character in this film. He has done all the things a ‘star’ normally does - fights, comedy, and dances. He does them well and has acted with ease in all the situations. But it is better he should stick to subdued characters. Vimala Ramanis not suited well opposite Varun as she looks older than him. Perhaps, she may look well opposite established actors. Rama Prabha evokes laughter in some scenes. So are Ali, Venu Madhav and other comedians. Manisharma’s music is passable. Only the bit song is good. Technically, cinematographerVenugopalan scores high points. He has done exceedingly neat work. It also boasts good production values of AVM. Editing (Marthand Venkatesh) should have been crispier in the second half. Dialogue writerRaja Hamsa has indulged more on rhyme words but his dialogues are appreciable in some scenes. Debutant director Marthand Shankar has grip on hero’s characterization and entertainment aspect, but he is letdown by his predictable script.Bottom-line
Evaraina Epduaina offers some entertainment in the first half and passable scenes but it has weak script. Especially post interval, the movie dips. On the whole, the movie is just okay.

Venkatesh and Trisha's new film, Namo Venkatesa, in the direction of Seenu Vaitla is ready for regular shoot. Recently the film had its formal pooja and now the unit is heading for Europe for major part of the shooting. The pair is scheduled to take off to Europe for a month-long shoot before Trisha joins her Bollywood film opposite Akshay Kumar.
This is second time that Trisha has paired up with Venkatesh after their successful film Aadavari Maatalaku Ardhale Verule.

Although Kantri was not a big hit, it helped NTR to transform into less mass-oriented roles. He looked stylish in the film. So NTR has decided to work again with the film’s director Meher Ramesh who recently narrated a plotline to the hero. Impressed with the storyline, NTR reportedly gave nod to this new project, which would again be produced by producer Ashwini Dutt. That means, the team of Kantri is coming back. According to our sources, this new film will begin its shoot from this year-end.
Meher Ramesh recently directed Prabhas’s Billa.
On the other hand, it is learnt that NTR - Harish Shankar’s film has been put off aside for time being.
