Story
Satya (Naga Chaitanya), who once was a studious school boy, gets changed into a careless youth after his entry into college studies. Though his college principal Surendra Kumar (Prakash Raj) tries his best to convince him, he refuses to mend his ways. The principal's son gets killed in a bike race. Though Satya was to blame for the death, the principal remains silent as a mark of forgiveness.
This becomes unbearable for Satya. He leaves the place and goes to Hyderabad. He joins in MGM college. The students' becoming tools in the hands of a local leader J.Durgarao (J.D.Chakravarthy) makes him to work against the exploitation and create awareness in the students. The rest of the story shows how he achieves his goal.
Analysis
If one observes keenly, the film is a mix up of two flicks – 'Shiva', starring his father Nagarjuna in the title role and directed by RGV and 'Student No:1' - directed by the successful director Rajamouli and Junior NTR playing the title role. The failure to maintain the balance in churning out a new story could easily be felt by the audience. In 'Shiva' Nagarjuna leaves the college to revolt against rowdism, here Nagachaitanya joins in the college to fight against it. As Junior NTR continues his studies while serving his prison tenure, here Nagachaitanya is forgiven for his fault in the death of the principal's son.
Though this may seem to balance the story, there are many dropouts in the flick. The scene depicting the death of the boy fails to create an impression. Many scenes in the film lack coherence. It may be due to the pressure on the director as he is directing the debut film of the son of an established hero of Tollywood. Still Vasu Verma impresses in delivering a message for the youth on their adolescent behavior and aiming for a bright future. This reflects his sense of social responsibility.
DMK Perspective
Action: When compared with the debut film 'Vikram' of his father Nagarjuna, Nagachaitanya proves to be a better actor with improved performance in dialogue delivery and body language. He gives a promising performance and the same is reflected in the scenes of – his speech at the college podium, the emotions he expresses in the hospital scene etc. Even his josh in fight scenes and the somersault he performs are impressive. Care should have been taken while selecting the story for his launch film.
He became the scape goat of the film. Apart from J.D.Chakravarthy, other characters fail to support him. Debutant heroine Kartika doen't impress. Even Prakash Raj's appearance doesn't help to elevate the mood. The comedy of Brahmanandam, Sunil, Hema fails to tickle. Others did justice to their roles.
Music: All the songs are melodiously tuned. “Jigijikka song, Anna Vachhindo, College bulloda” songs are sure to impress the mass audience. Re-recording too is impressive.
Cinematography: Though not impressive, one should not consider it as bad. Much better in songs and action scenes.
Dialogues: Director Vasu gave good dialogues and reflect the spice of Trivikram Srinivas.
Editing: Neat.
Art: Okay
Action: There is a chasing scene, impressive somersault, and other fights include the action pack.
One better watch the film to check the debut film of Nagachaitanya. Not too impressive to entertain a film bug!

Genelia's on Shopping Spree

Genelia has been indulging in some retail therapy lately. In a mood to go binge-shopping, Genelia hit the famous Linkin Road on the weekend and shopped all she can while an entourage carried her bags. Soon a crowd of onlookers gathered around the actress and she was unable to shop on the streets any longer. She immediately made a hasty retreat and headed straight to a plush mall where she stayed indoors in a designer store. She picked up accessories from the store before checking out all the stores in the mall. All that walking must have left her tired as Genelia rounded up her retail therapy session with a foot massage at a salon in the mall. Soon after, she disappeared through the back exit.

Kangana to Sport Barkha's Looks

After several hard-hitting roles, Kangna Ranaut will now play a fearless journalist in her new film, which is directed by Mani Shankar. Incidentally, her role is that of a topnotch journalist who works in a prominent news channel. The reel life character sounds strikingly similar to broadcast journalist Barkha Dutt. A source said, “Kangna is quite excited about playing a journalist for the first time. Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan are the two key characters as government agents from different walks of life who come together to raise Rs 32,000 crore in two hours. Kangna, who has a great fashion sense and is known to always experiment with her roles, is very excited about her different look in the film. She will be chopping off her trademark curly tresses and sport a short hairstyle to look like Barkha Dutt.” Sohail Maklai, producer of the untitled film, said, “No comments.”

I'm Too Young For That: Karthika

Radha’s daughter , Karthika describes herself as an “actor by chance” and says she’d probably have chosen academics and was all set to do a course in hotel management in Switzerland, until her big ticket debut vehicle was offered to her. Working with co-star and fellow debutant Naga Chaitanya has been great though. “He’s hard-working, a true professional and patience personified.Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to spend much time together after the shoot as I had returned to Mumbai to finish my Class XII exams.”  Keeping a low profile was deliberate. “Even my mom wanted it that way. She felt my talent should speak for me,” she reasons. The 17-year-old, who’s a music and movie buff, likes to hang out with close friends. “I am too young for pubbing and prefer spending time with my siblings,” she reveals. The level-headed teenager is also a talented classical dancer and painter. “I want to master all dance forms. Doing portraits is another passion,” she smiles.  “I am open to exciting roles in any language and would rather do one good film a year than 20 insignificant ones,” she avers.
