Why Rajashekar and Chiru have enemity?

It is a known fact that, two groups exist in the Telugu film industry: Pro-Chiranjeevi and anti-Chiranjeevi. The great divide or schism was put on an exhibition last year on the stage of Telugu Film Industry's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. Mohan Babu and Chiranjeevi attacked on each other verbally over the controversy of 'legend and celebrity' status.

The latest attack on Rajashekar by Chiranjeevi's fans (or allegedly) further proves that the groups within the industry are deeper than they appear. Rajashekar who is known for angry young man roles in Tollywood with films like Magadu, Anuksham, etc, feels that he was cheated by Chiranjeevi.

According to him, Chiranjeevi stole the remake rights of Tamil film, Ramana, right under nose from Rajashekar. "I bought the rights from the original producer and handed over him some advance. But Chiranjeevi camp met the producer without my knowledge and grabbed it. There are several instances," he accuses.

That Ramana remade with Chiranjeevi as Tagore that brought Chiru the image of a star with social conscience.

Not only Rajashekar and Mohan Babu, there are many other stars or actors who oppose Chiru.

Megastar Chiranjeevi on other hand has been trying to mingle with all the heroes

Telugu Movie review - Mr. Medhavi

Review

Story

Mr Medhavi Vishwak (Raja) is an orphan who is adapted by his school teacher. Later Vishwak becomes independent and takes care of himself. During this process, Vishwak becomes manipulative guy in order to succeed life. During his childhood, he happens to meet an NRI kid called Swetha who joins his school for a few days. They develop a close friendship. They happen to meet again after they grow up. The rest of the story is all about whether they fall in love or not.

Artists Performance

Mr Medhavi Raja is looking very handsome in this film. He suited the role very well and got into the skin of the character. Genelia is cool as usual. Her performance is excellent when she invites Sonu Sood to her house. She gave a matured performance in the climax of the film. But her make-up and hair style should have been better. Sonu Sood did a guest role and he is adequate. MS Narayana and Dharmavarapu Subramanyam provided comic relief. Suman, Hema and Tanikella Bharani are good.

Technical Departments:

Mr MedhaviStory - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is simple and narration is linear. Mr. Medhavi who is an expert at giving love advices to everybody failing in his own case resembles us of Hitch. The director followed different narrative (like main leads narrating the story in Mr & Mrs Smith) in the film. Screenplay of the film is adequate and there is a nice twist towards the climax. Direction of the film is good. Neelakanta stuck to his own plot instead of diverting the attention in order to attracts the masses. However, the narration of the film is very slow and there are boring moments in the second half.

Mr MedhaviOther departments: Main asset of the film is the superb cinematography by Sunil Kumar Reddy. Shot framing, lighting techniques and camera angles are different. Music by Chakri is good. The kids songs and Manasu song stand out. However, the last two songs in the second half appear forcibly inserted. Dialogues are well written. Editing is alright.

Mr MedhaviAnalysis: The film starts with an interesting note. The kids episode is impressive. First half is decent. The second half has some dull moments, but the climax twist makes it up for sagging second half. The plus points of the film are casting, narrative style and clean concept. On the flipside, the second half should have been in a more interesting way. The way Raja is taught about relationships is good. Neelakanta should be appreciated for having guts to insert the ‘HR SWOT’ episode in the film which lasts for over 15 minutes. On a whole, Mr. Medhavi is a well intended and a decent film. This film will definitely appeal the ultra A class audiences. The commercial appeal for an average moviegoer is very much limited.

Chiranjeevi meets Pruthviraj

Being diagnosed with cancer can leave anyone rundown. But the 10-year-old Pruthviraj did not relent. He decided to do things that made him smile. The only thing that came to his mind was meeting with and dancing before the Megastar. His dream became a reality thanks to the co-ordination efforts of Smt. Padmaja (wife of Nagababu).

It is a common experience of all Chiranjeevi fans that they become speechless with sheer joy and emotion when they meet the Megastar in person. Such is the kindness; such is the love from a hero towards his fans - unheard of in the past or present. Same was the case with Pruthviraj too. His joy knew no bounds when Megastar Chiranjeevi embraced and pampered him. The boy was moved to tears of joy by the compassion shown by Chiranjeevi and his family.

Chiranjeevi and his family spent close to an hour with Pruthviraj. Charan who imbibed the acting talent from his illustrious father proved that he is also the rightful successor for the humane and benevolent causes that have made his father a symbol of virtue and righteousness.

Mrs. and Mr. Chiranjeevi and Charan watched Pruthviraj dance to Megastar's numbers and applauded him for his efforts. As a parting gift, the boy got some souvenirs from Megastar's family.

A great writer once said - "a person's day is considered blessed, when he is able to bring a smile on the face of the other". In that regard, Megastar sure did have a blessed day.

Krishna - (the power of Indrakeeladri)

Review

Story

Krishna Krishna (Ravi Teja) is a happy-go-lucky guy in Vijayawada. He falls in love at fight sight with Sandhya (Trisha) who visits from Hyderabad. Sandhya is the sister of Shinde (Sayaji Shinde) who is a popular builder and mafia man. Jakka (Mukul Dev) is another mafia don who wants to marry Sandhya against her wishes. The film is all about how Krishna puts an end to Jakka and marries Sandhya.

Artists Performance

Krishna Ravi Teja is extremely energetic in the role of Krishna. He makes sure that he introduces new antics with each of his new films. In this film too he made sure that he entertained the crowds. Trisha is good in the female lead and the dubbing done to her is also good. Debutant actor Mukul Dev is impressive. The man who steals the show in the film is none but Brahmanandam. He is extremely hilarious in certain episodes. Sunil is alright. Sayaji Shinde and Jaya Prakash Reddy are adequate. MS Narayana’s comedy thread should have been handled better.

Technical Departments:

KrishnaStory - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is an old fashioned one. The screenplay of the film is good. VV Vinayak who proved himself as a good mass director strengthens his grip on comedy with this film. The way he created episodes for Brahmanandam are praise worthy and he made sure that there is no boring moment in the film.

KrishnaOther departments: Music by Chakri is mediocre. But VV Vinayak makes those songs appear good with nice picturization. Cinematography by Chota K Naidu is excellent. Dialogues by Akula Siva are good. Action work by Ram Lakshman is adequate. Production values by Kasi Viswanadham are nice.

KrishnaAnalysis: First half of the film is breezy with nice mix of action and comedy. The second half’s graph goes down a bit during the flashback episode and pre climax scenes. But the director brought back the film on track with interesting climax by blasting a couple of fully-loaded lorries. The plus point of the film are comedy by Brahmanandam and Ravi Teja. VV Vinayak who disappointed us with his last film Yogi can have a sigh of relief now. On a whole, Krishna (the power of Indrakeeladri) is a decent entertainer.

Vinayak keeps his promise

Director V V Vinyak said that he would come up with a great entertainer and he has kept his word. The film has lived up to all the pre-release hype and more. Ravi Teja comes up with another brilliant performance

'Okka Magadu' a letdown?

After creating great expectations, Balakrishna's 'Okka Magadu' has finally made its way to the theatres around the world. However, not many are happy with the way the film has turned out.

Manoj, Lakshmi Prasanna watch 'Krishna'

Lakshmi Prasanna did a Hollywood star entry by wearing dark shades, a cap and was all bling bling. Given that she now lives in LA, we are not very surprised.

Trisha turns glamourous!

And now with stiff competition from her competitors, Trisha seems to have realized the fact that she no longer carry on with her 'homely' looks. In Ravi Teja's Krishna, we get to see a completely new Trisha. Gone are pattu parikinee's (Half Saris) and micro mini skirts are in.
