Manirathnam to Replace Nana Patekar

Having completed "Raavana" which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram and Priyamani, ace director Mani Ratnam is planning his next venture "Azaan" which would star Ranbir Kapoor and Nana Patekar. It is reported that even the signing amount has been handed over to the two actors. According to Bollywood sources, Nana Patekar is reported to have rubbed Mani Ratnam while the director was narrating the script. Nana is said to have suggested a lot of changes in the script and even ventured to advise Mani on how to direct some scenes. Perhaps, Nana might have thought he new direction better than Mani after his directorial venture "Prahaar: The Final Attac". The buzz is that Mani Ratnam is now scouting for another actor who would replace Nana Patekar in "Azaan".
