Sankranthi festival is very auspicious and important for Telugu people. They celebrate it much gaiety and abandon. As it happens to be the festival of Harvest, every thing that's new is expected on this day. Perhaps for this reason, cine industry also gears up with new releases for this occasion. Movies are watched on this day with the same enthusiasm, as they show in betting in the 'Kodi Pandelu'. Balayya's "Param Veer Chakra", Raviteja's "Mirapakai", Siddhartha's "Anaganaga O Dheerudu", Gopichand's "Wanted", Prabhas's "Mr. Perfect", Rana's "Nenu na Rakshasi" and Sunil's "Kadha, Screenplay, Darshakatvam - Applaraju" are slated for release. Which of these movies will be hits and which are going to be flops, is to be waited and seen. Usually, Balayya's movies released on Sankranthi day in the past have been successful, people are very curious about the outcome this year.
