The representative of AP film chamber anti-piracy wing, Mr Keshava Reddy, who is a former superintendent of police, along with the CID, is drafting the Act for AP by combining points from similar Acts in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Kerala. A CID official said "Audio and video piracy was included in the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activists Act, the Tamil Nadu Goonda Act and the Kerala Goonda Act.
