Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has given four releases this year and while three – Raavan , Action Replayy , Guzaarish – flopped, the fourth film, Robot wasn’t credited to her.
Now, in an attempt to recharge her flagging career, Aishwarya is focusing on offbeat cinema.
She is seriously considering proposals from two talented directors. Shyam Benegal has been in talks with her for over a year. She is also entertaining Vishal Bhardwaj, who wants to cast her in his adaptation of Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet . Both directors have won numerous awards and have impeccable credentials. Perhaps they will give Aishwarya’s career the boost it needs.
We can’t wait to see what happens.
