Asin makes history by becoming the first south Indian actress to be featured on the cover of Vogue. The actress looks dazzling in a red Lanvin dress. Atul Kasbekar clicked the pics for Vogue with Asin dressed in a red embroidered Lanvin dress. “The shoot for Vogue was really exciting. It was my first shoot for a fashion magazine and I had loads of fun. The clothes were amazing—especially the pink dress by Valentino. I have started working out recently,” says Asin on the occasion of the release of the magazine.
Editor of Vogue Priya Tanna says “Vogue is committed to offer a platform to promising new faces, which is why we have Asin, the newest entrant to Bollywood, on our cover. She has an impressive body language to carry off designs from Lanvin to Valentino. She exemplifies the fresh, quintessential Indian beauty. She is no zero size, she doesn’t have legs that go on for miles, but she is truly a star. She looks every bit the classic Indian beauty.”
On her beauty routine, Asin says, “My favourite brand of skincare is Uriage Eau Thermale. As for my hair, I get regular oil massages and use an intensive conditioner.” Make up is not part of Asin’s usual beauty routine. “When I’m not shooting I never wear make-up, except for eyeliner and some fruity lip balm,” she says. “I am lazy and am a complete foodie. I love rice, fish curry and spicy Kerala food. But I also eat healthy—fruits, nuts, coconut water, etc. I kill myself after watching my own films,” says the pretty actress.
