Veeru Potla's 'Kula Gajji' Again

Like it or not, the fact remains that caste feelings run severely high in the cine circuit. And there are few individuals who tend to show that even in their films.

Right now, one person is fitting that bill and he is the budding director Veeru Potla.
This time, Veeru Potla has shown his ‘Kula Gajji’ again by targeting the Brahmin community in Ragada movie. Using phrases like ‘Antha dhairyam maa vamsam lo ledhu’ and ‘Pappu batch’ which didn’t miss the audience’s eye he also took another step and projected Brahmin girls as weak and naïve.

Something similar happened in his debut film ‘Bindaas’ as well wherein he made a mockery of the Reddy and Brahmin communities. Many Reddy people got hurt at that time. He has shown a motel with the name ‘Reddy Dhaba’ and placed an exposing lady in that as its owner implying that Reddy ladies look so.

Now, few level headed cine people and even the public are asking that without caste aspect, can Veeru not make a film?

They add that it is a shame to see such individuals poisoning the society and the culture of cinema with their personally stigmatic thoughts. Some are also commenting that at a time when the industry needs to be united and solve their problems, it is people like Veeru Potla who emerge and show their character by using the caste card spoiling the image of the film people.
