Actor-turned-Praja Rajyam Party president-turned-Congress leader K Chiranjeevi has got disgusted with his Tirupati constituency so much that he is keen on giving up the seat as early as possible.
Chiranjeevi, who went on a two-day tour to Tirupati to know the problems of the people of his constituency, was shocked at the cold response he had received from the people there. Wherever he went, he was booed and heckled by the people.
At some places, he had to encounter angry citizens, who questioned his inability to represent their woes with the government.
Disgusted with their behaviour, Chiranjeevi cancelled his plan to stay for the second day on Tuesday and returned to Hyderabad via Chennai.
Apparently, he realized that he had lost the public appeal in his constituency. The people are now regretting for choosing him as their MLA.
Now, Chiranjeevi might not go back to Tirupati as an MLA again. He is expected to be taken into the Central cabinet in October or November and within six months, he would get elected to Rajya Sabha from the state in the early 2012. That would be a safe choice for him
