Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli's father files complaint against Chengala Venkat Rao producer and former TDP MLA. Director Rajamouli's father and writer Vijayendra Prasad filed a complaint with the State Human Rights commission(SHRC) against Chengala Venkat Rao alleging that Venkat Rao and Central Crime Station (CCS) Police beat him up, stripped his clothes. Vijayendra Prasad further alleged that Chengala Venkat Rao and CCS Police threatened to kill him and compelled him to sign on blank white papers.
Vijayendra Prasad asserts that he wrote the story for 'Samarasimha Reddy' (1999) and another film in 2004 where Venkat Rao has to pay Rs 63 lakhs. However, Chengala Venkat Rao paid only Rs 22 lakhs to Vijayendra Prasad, who further said that CCS Police are harassing him by filing false cases against him and are threatening him constantly.
In his complaint to SHRC, Vijayendra Prasad said CCS Police Officials DCP J Satyanarayana and CI Sarath Kumar are harassing him. They called to CCS Police station on April 16 and took Rs 3 lakh in cash and two cheques worth Rs 30 lakh each and then set me free. Responding to Vijayendra Prasad's complaint, the SHRC ordered Hyderabad Police Commissioner AK Khan to submit a detailed report before May 9 on the Vijayendra Prasad's complaints.
