India's Oscar entry: Taare Zameen Par | Gamyam

Aamir Khan's maidenndirectorial venture, Taare Zameen Par was selected as indias  entry to the Oscars this year. Film Federation of India has selected nine films and the Jury headed by Suneel Darshan chose to send Taare Zameen Par to the Oscars to be awarded next Feb 2009.


Interestingly, our Telugu film Gamyam was also in the list of nine films that were considered. Gamyam was the only South Indian entry.
