Nampally criminal courts on on Wednesday ordered the Nallakunta police to file a criminal case against Bollywood star Vidya Balan for allegedly posing for indecent photographs on the posters and promos for her latest film – The Dirty Picture.
The court was acting on a petition filed by an advocate S K Azad on November 29.
It asked the police to file the FIR against Vidya Balan under various sections of IPC and also Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. The court asked the police to take action against public display of posters and promotional advertisements and investigate into the case.
Azad said the posters and hoardings of “The Dirty Picture,” being in display at public places were spoiling the minds of the people and causing a lot of harm to the society.
Starring Vidya Balan and produced by Balaji Telefilms, ‘The Dirty Picture’ was released all over the country on Friday last. Directed by Milan Luthria, the film also stars veteran Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.
