Ranjitha South Indian actress who claimed to have been filmed in a compromising situation with so-called Godman Nithyananda, today filed a complaint with police alleging that his images have been transformed.
She said that the pictures showing him with Nithyananda has been transformed, says police chief JK Tripathy.
She had also complained that some people had demanded money from her to stop broadcasting the video, he said.
The case was transferred to the Central Crime Branch (CCB), the city police said.
Last week Nithyananda Ashram had filed a complaint with the police accusing Sun Network morphing and things Telecast Nithyananda visual show in a compromising situation with the actress in March last year.
Nithyananda was arrested last year after various channels broadcast the video claimed that the ashram was described as a "conspiracy" to malign his reputation.
It claimed that the images were "transformed" and claimed that the Ashram inmates had attacked physically in different places after the video was aired.
Nithyananda, who also face criminal charges, including rape, was arrested in Himachal Pradesh after remaining elusive for several weeks. The case in this regard is pending before a court of Ramanagara near Bangalore.
