Heroines of the year: Anushka, Trisha
It is a tie! Both Anushka and Trisha are the winners among the heroines in 2008. But Anushka is ahead with highest number of releases. This sexy, curvaceous and tall beauty has had highest releases in the year (5) and two of them turned out to be hits. Sowryam is a genuine hit while Chinatakayala Ravi is just an average grocer. Her other movies Okka Magadu, Swagatham and Baladoor were big duds. But her career is blooming. She is already demanding Rs One Crore per film and will be seen in a bikini next year.
Trisha, on other hand, had three releases – Bujjigaadu, Krishna and King. Ravi Teja starrer Krishna was the big hit and King is also turning out to be a blockbuster. So she had two hits this year. Trisha hopes that 2009 will be more fruitful.
Mamta Mohandass too had five releases in 2008, but she played second leads in most of them. Films that she did were Krishnaarjuna, Homam, Kathanayakudu, Chintakayala Ravi, and King .
Ileana had delivered biggest hit with Jalsa but she has more releases lined up for 2009.
Anushka ready for skin show
Anushka - Yoga teacher from Bangalore is presently busy in three flicks 'Arundathi', 'Baladur' and Chintakaayala Ravi, subsequent to this flick she has nothing in hand which is worrying her a lot.
During the time of Don, Okkamagadu she has hiked her remuneration so much that producers who intend to make flick with her had to drop their proposals.
Of late its heard that she has reduced her remuneration as well proposed to producers that she is ready for exposing as well skin show as much as possible, with this offers producers are rethinking on their projects again.
When a top heroine is asking for a small remuneration and that too ready for everything, then surely many directors would pipeline.

The Bangalore beauty, Anushka who gave successes like 'Vikramarkudu', and 'Lakshyam' which were small budget films, does not seem to have the same luck when it comes to big-budget films. 'Swagatham' and 'Don' her big banners have failed at the box office and her performance too in these films has received flak. The actress now is all set to amend her folly and get a taste of success and the first step towards growth that the actress has taken is to cut her remuneration by almost half. Well, hope the actress doubles her acting prowess too in her new projects.
