| It has been quite a while since the project 'Ganga' was announced and this was meant to have victory Venkatesh in the lead and that too in pure mass masala role. The film was said to be under the direction of Amma Rajasekhar and till date, no update or whiff of this has been received. Sources from the industry say that doubts have been cast on Amma Rajasekhar and his brand value while some say that he has no substance as a director or a storyteller. On the other hand, Venky is said to be one man who will not take the next step unless he has the bound script. Amma Rajasekhar doesn't believe in such things so obviously there would be few creative differences if common sense is to be followed. For now, there is no news from the Daggubati Venkatesh house or Amma Rajasekhar house so looks like the flow of 'Ganga' has really stopped. | |

                     | Having completed "Raavana" which starred Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Vikram and Priyamani, ace director Mani Ratnam is planning his next venture "Azaan" which would star Ranbir Kapoor and Nana Patekar. It is reported that even the signing amount has been handed over to the two actors. According to Bollywood sources, Nana Patekar is reported to have rubbed Mani Ratnam while the director was narrating the script. Nana is said to have suggested a lot of changes in the script and even ventured to advise Mani on how to direct some scenes. Perhaps, Nana might have thought he new direction better than Mani after his directorial venture "Prahaar: The Final Attac". The buzz is that Mani Ratnam is now scouting for another actor who would replace Nana Patekar in "Azaan". | |

                     | Ileana was the first South Indian actress to hit the one crore fee per film, but she has also been the only starlet from Tollywood absolutely reluctant to set foot in Kollywood! After that a single movie Kedi with Ravi Krishna and Tamannaah way back, Ileana has been blatantly rejecting offers in Tamil. While some say she was unimpressed by the offers, others insist it was a bad experience in Kedi that kept the lady away. But sources within the industry state that the main reason was that the pay offered in Kollywood was nowhere near what she was making in Telugu, so she felt least inspired to make the move. But now, we hear that she will play the lead in Vikram's next Tamil movie. What lured her this time? She says it's the story, but insiders insist it's the HUGE pay that was irresistable! She sure knows what it means to make hay while the sun shines! | |

Being rated as a good looking heroine with "Leader," tall beauty richa gangopadhyaya is looking for more fancy projects with big heroes. Sources say that she is pampering all top stars in the field if given an opportunity. First in the list for Richa is known to be Venaktesh. When she was attending the "Leader" success meet, Richa was known to be most of the time concentrating her eyes on Venaketsh. Never misinterpret, this can be regarded as her fondness towards Venky but she even discussed it in open that all she is waiting is to do a movie with Venaketsh very soon. Let us see, will her desperate attempts satisfy Venkatesh and provide her a role.

                     | "Maro Charitra" is definitely a huge disappointment for Dil Raju at the box office. The successfull producer is facing the flop producer name after Josh and Maro Charitra. Film critics find fault with Dil Raju for selecting Varun and Anitha as lead pair. When this pair is compared to Kamal and Saritha of origional Maro Charitra- this pair fits no where. The film goes on US back drop and Producer thought if a heroine from US is there then it would be nice and selected Anita who is settled in US. Critics saying that Dil Raju compromised in selection of Heroine. | |

                     | Tollywood producer Bellamkonda Suresh has strongly criticised national award winning actor Prakashraj for his comments on the quality of Telugu movies. Earlier interacting with media, Prakashraj told them that one of the jury members at National awards function in Delhi said to him that none of the Telugu films are getting nominated on national level these days. This has irked producer Bellamkonda Suresh, he said " a Telugu film "1940 lo Oka Gramam" has been adjudged as national best movie. Its director Narasimha Nandi took the award on the same stage where Prakashraj also received national award. Doesn't Prakashraj know about it? Is he so dumb that he can not make out for what language film the next man is receiving award after him?" | |

Samantha appeared in a guest role in "Vinnaithandi Varuvayi", the Tamil version of "Ye Maya Chesave". Samantha played Trisha's role in Telugu version. Speaking about her role in Telugu, Samantha said " I am very happy to have played Trisha's role in Telugu. The role is so connecting that I feel, every girl encounters such incidents in her life. The director has shown glamour in sarees, he doesn't like to show heroines in swim suits. Only wearing bikinies isn't called glamour." Samantha's next movie is junior NTR's "Brindavanam" and another with Mahesh Babu.

                     | Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has said that Kerala denying him the post of tourism brand ambassador was a "petty act of cheap convenience." In an entry in his blog, Bachchan also said that to find political connotations in his decision to promote Gujarat as tourism destination was rubbish. The CPI(M)-led government of Kerala had initially approached Bachchan to be the state's tourism ambassador and had later dropped the idea after the party politburo intervened and said someone who promoted Narendra Modi's Gujarat cannot be Kerala's ambassador. Hurt by the decision, Bachchan said in his blog that what he would be doing in Gujarat was just to work in a short film that would highlight various places of interest in the state. | |

                     | Vivek Oberoi was one of the Swami's disciples and had been his follower from 2005, Now, Vivek too is trying to distance himself from Guru after the Swami Nityanand sex scandal thickened with the emergence of another sleaze video showing the Swami with Tamil actress Yuvarani. According to sources, Vivek had been meeting the Swami regularly for a few years now. He, like all of the Swami's believers, was shocked when the scandal emerged. Vivek had been floored by the Swami when he first met him because he found it surprising that someone who was as young as Nithyanand could be an influential spiritual leader. Vivek had nicknamed Nithyanand "cool dude swami". He mainly met the Swami at the latter's ashram in Bidadi, near Bangalore. Vivek admits that he had a wonderful learning experience at the spiritual workshop at the ashram. He states that he has only met the Swami twice though. The actor doesn't wish to comment on the scandal until everything is clear. | |

                     | All of sudden a charming beauty appeared on TV and created flutter in the cine industry. 'Shyamala aunty' who claimed herself as a Jogini from Vemulawada town appeared in front of the TV channels yesterday. Joginis, alternately known as devdasis, basivis, matammas and venkatasanis in other states of South India, are women 'married off' to a goddess, sometimes when they are barely six years old. Once the girls attain puberty, they are trained to become courtesans, catering to the villagers. The girls undergo an elaborate ceremony at which liquor flows freely and some influential villagers 'initiate' them into the profession. TV channels started the scrolling by titling her as 'Hot Aunty' Shyamala. Even a channel quoted that, Shyamala is a male named Shyam but got transformed as Shyamala. Many film personalities started chatting with her in a Live Program. Incidentally some callers from Warangal wished her all the best for her stint in the Telugu films and said that they are proud that she is from the Telangana region. Even some film personalities like Uttej talked with her. She says that her favorite hero is Prabhas and she would like to act as character artiste in his film or even Mahesh Babu. Going by the sensation she has created and since few producers and directors are hunting for Telangana talent, her wish is likely to be fulfilled and we can have a stunningly beautiful jogini adorning the silver screen very soon. | |
