Police are likely to arrest Sirish Bharadwaj, the husband of Srija, against whom the latter had complained of harassment a couple of days back.
Following the complaint by Srija, daughter of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi, Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths are in the process of gathering evidence against Sirish and his mother, G R Suryamani. Police are collecting the SMSes and mails sent by Srija to her parents about the harassment meted out to her by Sirish in the last few days after recording the victim’s statement on Tuesday.The CCS sleuths are also likely to collect the medical bills that were paid when Srija had to undergo medication after she was hit to a wall by her in-laws. Sources said the CCS sleuths have not yet questioned or taken Sirish into their custody. It is learnt that Sirish was not available at his house and police are on a hunt to nab him. Though police officials did not confirm, Sirish’s mother was reportedly taken into custody for questioning.Based on a complaint by Srija, the CCS sleuths registered a case under 498-a and Dowry Prohibition Act against Sirish and his mother and are investigating the case.source:express buzz
