Story Shakti Swaroop (NTR) is a National Security Guard and Tamil actor Prabhu is a Central Home Minister. Aishwarya Rai (Ileana) likes freaking and elopes with her friends for an Indian Tour. But she don’t know that Shakti Swaroop is guarding her until the main plot is revealed. Cut to flash bash, Egyptians (Sonu sood and Pooja Bedi) try to seize the Shakti Peethams in India and grab Rudra Shoolam but Rudra (NTR) guards. In a clash, both Sonu Sood and Rudra die, but Sonu Sood's wife Pooja Bedi want to take vengeance and comes back after 27 years to attack for getting the Rudra Shoolam. And she tries kidnapping Aishwarya who is born with the super powers of Shakti Matha. How Shakti Swaroop safeguards the Shakti Peethams and Rudra Shoolam from the Egyptians forms the rest of the story.

Analysis : NTR Shakti is a huge let down movie and once again a movie coming with huge expectations bites the dust with comic narration. Shkati is a movie of showing director as the culprit telling that you need a strong script and gripping screenplay to make such a film and someone like Meher Ramesh cannot handle it. Making a socio-fantasy movie like Shakti, you need top casting with absorbing dialogues and these two are clearly missing in the movie. As a result, the onus is on NTR to shoulder the entire responsibility but even he could not prevent the inevitable. Director Meher Ramesh makes a huge blunder with such a poor and weak narration. Lack of vision and clarity in storyline once again puts the blame on the director. As a result, Shakti movie suffers from too many setbacks in the form of weak dialogues, miscasting, poor music, ludicrous direction and a forgettable narration. Vyjayanthi Movies has made this movie with a massive budget of 45 crores but we presume the movie could have been easily made with less than 50% of the allocated budget and in lesser working days. NTR's outfits as Rudra are disgusting and looks like the apparels  were rented from the person who also gave for Magadheera. As suc, the power,  personality and uniqueness of a savior was not properly shown. The story looks to be on a high magnitude but the screenplay is something to be looked into. The dialogues in the second half are very weak and the movie lost grip in the second half as the movie progressed. The flashback episode has to be the real story and should have an absorbing and cracking tempo but it turns out to be a huge disappointment. The dialogues are a liftoff from Magadheera. Age old twist, predictable climax, miscued screenplay is how NTR Shakti movie review can be encapsulated.

TeluguOne Perspective : One just gets the feeling that Meher Ramesh and Aswini Dutt duo should be blamed for making mockery of such a powerful script. It was treatment and narration at its worst and even the technical aspects of the movie are pretty average. One just wonders what was the reason for roping in Pooja Bedi, Vinod Kumar, Jackie Sheroff and few other characters. Brahmanandam is ridiculous in the film. How can you introduce a comic character like Brahmanandam when the tempo is running. Director Meher Ramesh fumbled in key scenes and crucial moments finally making the movie a disappointing outing. He could not do justice to NTR character and his brand image even after giving him a second chance. Putting all the grandeur and magnificence aside, director Meher Ramesh did not make any effort to find out whether such stories need a different treatment.  In point of fact, involving Egyptians in this script has no connectivity. Its the director's blind game for a socio fantasy movie. Performances NTR has put on some weight in this movie. His first few dialogues in Hindi loos natural. However, don’t expect typical NTR dances in the movie ads the treatment from the director is poor. NTR gave a second chance to a bad director Meher Ramesh. Ileana is only lending glamor to the screen flaunting her navel and no performance. Looks like directors are roping her only for her oomph showe and not anything else. And its time they reconsider. Nazar, Shiyaji Shinde, Prabhu, Sonu Sood , etc did their bit. Technicalities Music by Mani Sharma is a huge drawback for Shakti movie. The songs and tunes are very bad and always feel like staying away. Background score is only good in parts. Satyanand is the biggest culprit as the dialogues in a very powerful second half anemic. Computer Graphics was another let down and clearly gives that few scenes have been shot on green mat. Camera work by Sameer Reddy is wonderful. Few shots were really commendable Bottom Line – Shakti movie is an April fool jest by director Meher Ramesh and producer Aswini Dutt. With the kind of respect we have for NTR and his talent and towards Telugu cinema industry, we are not giving any rating to this movie.
