Superstar Krishna was chosen for the prestigious Padmabhushan Purashkar this year. Krishna who had acted in 333 films is a legendary figure in Tollywood. He contributed to the growth of Telugu film industry in various capacities - producer, director, studio owner and actor. Known for his daring attitude, Krishna has many firsts to his credit - produced first cinemascope film in Telugu (Alluri Seetarama Raju), acted in first James Bond movie in Tolllywood, brought first six-track stereo movie (Simhasanam). He also ushered in western genre movies in Telugu. He is also father to the current top star Mahesh Babu.
