Young rebel star Prabhas might not have experimented too much in his short career so far but the actor is now gearing up to try new things. Latest reports say that Prabhas is planning to remake Bobbili Brahmanna,
a yesteryear blockbuster (1984), starring his uncle Krishnam Raju and directed by K Raghavendra Rao. Gopi Krishna Movies, a banner started by his uncle is now planning to cast Prabhas in the lead role while Krishnam Raju doing an important role for Bobbili Brahmanna remake. Sources further say that Gopi Krishna Movies is trying to team up with Reliance Entertainment for this mega budget venture.

Sekhar Kammula became an author yesterday and wrote a big article in English daily. The title of the article was ‘Films have no space for items’. He came out with his views on placing item songs in films.

In a paragraph, he clearly stated, “I don't think item numbers do anything by themselves. Take for instance, Ringa Ringa which I think is one of the best item song in recent films but still the film did'nt fare well at the box office.. it may have generated some revenue but the commercial benefits accrued say from hit numbers through audio sales etc cannot be used to measure a film's success. A film with a good script would work even without an item song. But the question is if they are needed, my answer is a sure NO. A film what a director or a storywriter wants to say and item numbers can never influence that process and so it will not influence the result either”.

Reading this, many have discussed why he ran behind Udaya Bhanu for an item song ‘Rajasekhara…’ in Leader.

In fact finally he said, “But still item numbers almost always exist in our cinema. The reason could be that in this star driven industry we can never judge the success of a film so the makers resort to the minimum guarantee formula with song dance action comedy tracks”.

The bottom line as said by the majority readers was than the clarity of Sekhar Kammula on item numbers, it was his confusion that has seen light with this article.

SP Balu is open these days. He has attained legendary status and his words will hold sound for sure. On the other hand, he is straight forward as he has no fears of losing opportunities

Recentlt during Sri Rama Rajyam 50 days function, he said that Bapu has to be honored with Padma award. In this context he said, “We are boasting ourselves when getting Padmabhsuhan awards but truly forgetting the true deserving artistes”.

Although it didn’t pinch many at the moment, slowly people understood that SP Balu was hinting Chiranjeevi. It is known that Chiru camp made a big hungama when he was conferred with Padmabhushan a few years ago. In the same function, Balu spoke on dais, “It was not just Chiranjeevi but many got Padma awards earlier. But none could celebrate the event in this big manner”.

The regular pair of Jagapathi Babu and Priyamani is back and this time, they came with a dose of flashback. Let us see if the film was divine enough.

Story
Chakri (Shyam) who hails from a royal family works with a TV channel and he falls in love with the Marwadi girl Sohini (Priyamani). Both families agree for the marriage and Chakri’s father (Aditya Menon) takes the newly wed couple to the grave of his brother Veera Narasimha Rayalu (Jagapathi Babu) and Naga Penchalamma (Priyamani again) for paying respects.

However, the spirit of Penchalamma enters the body of Sohini and she kills Chakri’s father. A tryst with a guru reveals the flashback of Narasimha Rayalu and Penchalamma, their efforts to lay the idol of Narasimha Swamy in a temple for the welfare of the villages and the enemies (Kota and others) who are stopping it. Whether the divine mission is successful or not forms the rest of the story.

Performances
Jagapathi Babu looks fit and does his bit in the required manner. Though some of his dialogues looked odd, he managed to bring some attention of the audience to the screen.

Priyamani should work on her looks. Her body is slowly going out of shape and something is not right around her tummy and navel area where the extra flab has come. Performance-wise no complaints…

Shyam is handsome and despite his Kollywood background, he tries his best to get the lip sync. Though his role is subdued, he gives his full in every scene. He is a talent who should be given right roles.

Aditya Menon is a good performer. He has the right kind of personality and the evil expressions to make him the villain. He has strong potential to enter into the top league of villains if he chooses his projects carefully.

Tanikella Bharani was effective, Kota was impressive, Brahmi was boring, Rajeev Kanakala was wasted, Jackie was okay, Hema and Surekha Vani were brief, Siva Parvathi was standard, Brahmaji came and went, the others didn’t have much scope.

Analysis
Within first five minutes of the film, one begins to get a feeling that they are being made a ‘Bakra’ and by the time the film is halfway, the ‘Bakra’ is ready for ‘Bali’.

The thought from the director is good but there is not a single point where he can be patted for his execution. It was amazingly amateur. Sometimes, the film looked like ‘Chandramukhi’ and sometimes, it looked like ‘Arundhati’. And one doesn’t know why Rajeev Kanakala was there, an actor of his calibre became a simple dummy. Here are some highlight comments heard inside the theatre

When Jagapathi Babu is given a extra long sword for doing ‘Daiva Kaaryam’, the theatre folks commented that it will be used by him for slicing lemons and breaking coconuts in temple
Nearly 70% of the scenes contain Jaggu carrying the sword. It looked more like a kid carrying his fancy toy wherever he goes with a lot of excitement.
Priyamani as a royal Naga Penchalamma dreams of a song sequence wherein her eroticism and raunchiness is displayed. The attempt was to appease the mass audience but it was a misfit.

Overall, this is a film which has no content, no proper handling of the script and there is nothing notable that any class of audience can connect to. At the box office, the chances of the film scoring a flop are very high.

Talented hero Vikram has come up with a typical mass masala role this time and he has the veteran icon K Vishwanath for company. Let us see how the film goes..

Story
Fire Shankar (Vikram) works as a fighter in the film industry and his dream is to become a big villain. He is assisted by his group of fighters.

One day, he comes across an old man Dakshinamurthy (K Vishwanath) who is being chased by goons. The reason for that is Dakshinamurthy’s property which has an orphanage. The noted minister Ranganayaki alias Akka (Sana) has got her eyes on the property and she lures Dakshinamoorthy’s son (Avinash) to get that. Shankar gives shelter to Dakshinamurthy and protects him.

However, Akka is searching frantically for Dakshinamurthy and Shankar decides to put an end to all this. How that happens forms the rest of the story.

PerformancesVikram has come up with a versatile performance. He is seen nearly in twenty getups and all of them sit on him very well. He is a gifted actor and should fall in the hands of the right directors.

Deeksha Seth was there to fill the romance track and provide the required glamour. Though she has not indulged in any skin show, she has an elegant charm which cannot be missed.

K Vishwanath was wonderful. Despite his age and physical condition, he gives an energetic performance and his act in the first half is really commendable.

Sana comes as a surprise revelation. She has a meaty role as the lead villain and performs it in the right manner. Despite all her negative shades, her sensuousness is something of a treat to the audience.

Pradeep Rawath was brief but good. Thambi Ramaiah was upto the mark. Aruldoss brought few smiles. Avinash was apt. Saloni appeals with her item song. The song involving Shriya and Reemma Sen was below average. Others didn’t have much to offer.

Analysis
Whenever a film starring Vikram comes, the expectations are high. Given his versatility and immense talent he possesses, the audience wants to see variety and larger than life concepts from him. So when he comes across as a regular mass hero, the attempt doesn’t really work. That’s what happened here.

Moreover, it was the ineffective handling of the script which could not get the audience to connect to the plot. As usual, there was the nativity factor missing.

The film suffered in the comedy and romance department as well.

Overall, it was made on a formula with no innovation. At the box office, this might appeal to the frontbenchers who seek few fights, some punch lines etc. but success is highly doubtful.

Mahesh Babu Nothing Before NTR?

The bonding between fans and their heroes is something interesting. Most of the times, it is about the fans seeing themselves onscreen through their heroes. That is why stars like Pawan Kalyan, Junior NTR tend to have such a strong following. However, the case with Mahesh is different.

The cine intellectuals say “Frankly speaking, Mahesh is too classy or glamorous for the regular frontbencher to get connected. But here is the twist. The success of ‘Pokiri’ happened not just because of Mahesh but because of the Puri Jagannadh packaging power and the other artists as well.”

They add “Something similar happened with ‘Dookudu’. If it was not for the contribution from Srinu Vytla, M S Narayana, Brahmi then the outcome would have been different. So today, Junior NTR is dabbling with films like ‘Shakti’ ‘Kantri’ ‘Oosaravelli’ for the wrong reasons. If he gets the right kind of director who can mould him then there will be a totally new comparative analysis that will come between Junior and Mahesh.”

Rajanna is the film that hit the screen when the expectations of people were set on reasonable levels. The main reason for the expectations are that Rajamouli is behind its action episodes. And even musically the film scored good points.

Story:
The movie is set on 1948 Nelakondapalli village in Adilabad district. Lakshmamma (Sneha) is the mother of an infant girl child Mallamma (Baby Annie) who leaves her into a river like Kunti did to Karna for the fear of Razakars chasing to kill. Lakshmamma gets killed. Mallamma is rescued by Sambayya, a village man who nurtures her like his grand daughter like Kanva did for Shakunthala.

Sambayya knows that Mallamma is the daughter of Lakshmamma and Rajanna(Nagarjuna) a great freedomn fighter against British and also the rescuer of them from unscrupulous doras of gadis.

The girl Mallamma is good at singing since childhood. But dorasani (Sweta Menon) hates that. She orders her not to sing and punishes severely. Then the girl goes to Delhi to complaint to PM Nehru. What happens from then has to be watched on screen.

Performances:
Nagarjuna is at his best. He deserves commendations for doing such inspiring role. He looked strong with toned up muscles. He is physically inspiring.

Sneha is homely and looked sensuous in a song.

Annie is the highlight. She deserves awards for sure.

Alapati Lakshmi and Telangana Shakuntala appeared in notable but short roles. Ajay, Pradeep Rawat and Supreet are also guests with reasonable roles. Model Sreedhar excelled surprisingly and even Sweta Menon is at her best. Ravi Kale who is widely seen in Bollywood films appeared in a local dora's role.

Analysis:
The film takes us back into the Razakars’ era. Hearts melt and eyes spill tears, while we watch the first half. One has to appreciate the efforts put in by Rajamouli and his team in pumping in emotion in key sequences. Yes, the film might been directed by Vijayendra Prasad, father of Rajamouli, but the ace director’s deft handling of the project was clearly evident. Especially, the action sequences, the tyranny of feudal lords in Gadis and the atrocities perpetrated by the cronies of Nizam on the people of Telangana ignite the spirit of patriotism among the audience.

It is definitely a notable film in the career of Nagarjuna. Yes, after Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu, this is one film that he can boast of as yet another precious jewel in his crown.

Annie deserves a great commendation and there are many chances for her to score brownie points by the juries of several award committees. She portrayed the role up to the perfection beyond her age.

Except a few liberties taken by the director that are hard to be digested by the sane audience, rest of the film is a must watch for an experience and to know the cruel incidents happened on the land of Telugus a few decades ago.

The first half is shouldered by little girl Annie in the role of Mallamma and Nagarjuna enters the screen just a few moments before interval. His entry scene – with British chaining the hero like they had done for Katta Bommanna – might create a feeling of hackneyed screenplay, but as the story runs, his character gets elevated. He seldom fights but instigates people to fight against tyranny. That’s awesome. This is the character inspired from Suddala Hanumanthu who used to evoke fighting spirit among the people with his songs.

The film has enough material for the Telugu people to experience the history. As a matter of fact, the film hasn’t shown too much of the atrocities committed by the Razakars on native people but, it just shows the glimpses of them, like a few shocking scenes such as weighing the breasts of women with money. Kudos to the censor board for allowing such bold scenes on screen with due respect to history.

To sum up, the film deserves patronage from audience for its content rich songs, emotional RR and bold depiction of history.

Panjaa Story
Jai (Pawan Kalyan) is an orphan and is brought up by gangster Bhagawan (Jackie Shroff). He becomes his loyal follower and effectively counters rivals Atul Kulkarni, and on the other side, falls in love with innocent Sandhya (Sarah Jane Dias). Munna (Adivi Sesh) is the son of Bhagawan and is a spoilt brat, an NRI who falls in love with Jahnavi (Anjali Lavania), who in turn, pleases Jai to marry her. Munna kills Jahnavi for the fact that she hates him, and in a fit of rage with Jai, Munna accidentally dies. An angry Bhagawan then looks to take revenge on Jai for killing his son. How Jai encounters Bhagawan and his moves and come out successfully forms the remaining part of the plot.

Analysis
Panjaa is an action romance flick and director Vishnuvardhan once again proves that he’s a stylish director. Panjaa comes with heavy dose of action sequences - gun fights, bomb explosives, etc. It gives you sights of movies like ‘Balu’ and Nagarjuna ‘Antham’ as Vishnuvardhan was focusing heavily on technical aspects to elevate the movie. Pawan Kalyan is once again seen in a gangster character as he earlier played in Balu. However, Panjaa lacks the killer instincts to hit the trigger. There’s not enough drama in the movie to make it comprehensive and it’s like shooting in the dark at various points.

The action sequences were well shots by Vishnuvardhan and he has shown Pawan Kalyan in a different way. Although sporting beard, Pawan looks elegant and was in his elements and his dialogue delivery was aggressive. In fact, in Panja, Pawan on more than couple of occasions, look like Chiranjeevi in his gestures and mannerisms. Adivi Sesh is a revelation. His murderer looks and body language is stunning. Vishnuvardhan has done a commendable job in getting the best from all the characters. Perhaps new heroines might be a minus to Panjaa since people miss out on the connectivity. A known heroine could have been a huge asset.

TeluguOne Perspective
Panjaa movie starts of in the gangster backdrop in Kolkata and as the movie progresses; it slowly unveils all the characters. Pawan Kalyan plays the role of a thug and has done justice to his character. The locations were very fresh and introduction of new characters were also apt. The first half establishes all the characters and the biggest plus of the movie is the interval bang, which sets up the drama for the rest of the movie.

Adivi Sesh’s introduction was superb and his death transforms the lives of all the characters including Pawan Kalyan and sets the pace. The predictable screenplay is one of the biggest liabilities for Panjaa. The locations have been pretty fresh too and Vishnuvardhan has made good use of the cameraman in spicing up the visuals.

Performances
Pawan Kalyan delivers a commanding performance. He has put on some weight but his dialogue delivery holds the key to his character. His dance in Papa Rayudu song is brilliant and let’s hope to see more such numbers in the future.

Adivi Sesh was incredible as Munna. He perfectly suits the character and has shown a great authority. His stylish body language and explosive looks were amazing. Surely this character will take him to great level in Tollywood.

Sarah Jane Dias has done justice to her character and Anjali Lavania was involved in a bit of glam show. Jackie Sheroff, was at his usual best in a mobster role. Ali has gone waste while Brahmanandam has scored a bit.

Technicalities
Camerawork by PS Vinod is fantastic. His short framing and camera angles were tailor made for an action film and he has elevated the film visually. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music has been very good but he missed out on the background score. Editing should have been crisper.

Panjaa review: Director Vishnuvardhan’s treatment is new for an old story and so Panjaa the box office collections would be interesting to see!

Criminal case filed against Bollywood star Vidya Balan

Nampally criminal courts on on Wednesday ordered the Nallakunta police to file a criminal case against Bollywood star Vidya Balan for allegedly posing for indecent photographs on the posters and promos for her latest film – The Dirty Picture.

The court was acting on a petition filed by an advocate S K Azad on November 29.

It asked the police to file the FIR against Vidya Balan under various sections of IPC and also Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986. The court asked the police to take action against public display of posters and promotional advertisements and investigate into the case.

Azad said the posters and hoardings of “The Dirty Picture,” being in display at public places were spoiling the minds of the people and causing a lot of harm to the society.

Starring Vidya Balan and produced by Balaji Telefilms, ‘The Dirty Picture’ was released all over the country on Friday last. Directed by Milan Luthria, the film also stars veteran Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor.

Censoring FaceBook & Twitter – Is It Possible??

India is one country which truly runs on the concept of ‘Ram Bharose’ (leaving it to god to take care of us). The reason I say this due to the botched up political system and the mess that those in power create in the name of democracy and righteousness. And for a strange reason, the greed to be part of publicity and limelight is so high among few people that they will not hesitate to set themselves on fire just for few seconds of attention.

The reason for all this rush of thoughts is the latest fizz on censoring Facebook and Twitter. The union minister Kapil Sibal is known for his dogged determination to get what he wants and his recent talks with these two companies is indeed a mockery. If Mr Sibal is trying to streamline content or clean the system, then putting censoring on FB, Twitter is not enough. He should then consider censoring the over enthusiastic and selfish electronic media.

For the kind of trash they show in the name of reality shows and Breaking News and the negative impact they are causing on the people, censoring should begin from there. On the other hand, how is it possible to censor the world wide web? Today, everybody is a media and everyone is reporting and expressing their thoughts and philosophy. In this free economy, anybody can start a blog and write about anything under the sun with anonymous identities.

Of course, extreme philosophy or hatred can incur reactions and there are times when websites or blogs are shutdown. But technically speaking, even the admin department can work on certain things by using keywords or tags to be barred but for every word there is an alternative. That way, I feel politically correct censoring can be done but moral censoring cannot be done. While I agree that Facebook and Twitter tend to have its own side-effects, trying to put a roadblock on freedom of expression is something bizarre. If that has to happen then it better be applied to the electronic media as well.

Sangarshana Review – Sangharshana Movie Review, Porali Rating, Tamil Movie: Director Samuthirakani who made Shambo Shiva Sambho in Telugu roped in Allari Naresh for his latest film Porali, which has Sasi Kumar playing the main lead. This was dubbed in Telugu as Sangarshana. This team has carved a niche for themselves and their films carry super positive buzz in Tamilnadu. What is Telugu audience response for this movie…

Story:

Kumar (Sasi Kumar) and Vikram (Naresh) comes out of nowhere to Hyderabad and settles down in a house in a closed compound. Kumar is very friendly with his neighbors and they turn his best buddies. Kumar starts a small business and helps the needy neighbors. Bharati (Swathi) falls for his generous nature and loves him. Vikram fall in love with Bala Saraswathi. When everything is going smooth for them, in comes a twist in the tale. Few people come and attack Kumar and Vikram and say that they are mentally challenged and they have ran away from a mental institution. What’s the story behind them and how they solve their problems follows.

Analysis:

Samuthirakani tried to focus on the animal side of people in this film. He shows how few people turn innocent persons into mad ones for their benefits. Sangharshana has a strong plot and good characters, but it gets over melodramatic and heavy in the second hour.

First half of the film is entertaining and leaves a good impression. But as per the story, Samudrakani has to give up on entertainment completely. The second hour is in complete contrast to the first half and therefore the film goes on and on in a boring fashion.

Although the idea is laudable, it couldn’t entertain the audience due to overdose melodrama. It might appeal to Tamil audience as Sasi Kumar is a known face. Our audience will watch out for Allari Naresh and he has minimal role to play in the second hour.

Performances:

Sasi Kumar is good. He did a decent job as an actor. He carried off the character very well. Allari Naresh is terrific. He kept the spirits up whenever he is on screen. However, a limited role in the second half will disappoint Telugu audience. Swathi is cute. She has come up with a matured performance. All others are alright in their characters.

Technicalities:
Technically the film is excellent except for the songs. Sundar’s background score is an asset. Kadhir cinematography is brilliant and Super Subbarayan’s fights are natural and raw. Production values are pretty good. Samudrakani did a decent job as the director. The plot which he tried to exploit is very complex but he tried to simplify it. He got the emotions right and once again proved that he is a good director in bringing out the best from his star cast.

Final Word:

Lack of nativity would be the major concern for this film. Allari Naresh and Swathi may find it difficult to pull it off against all the odds.

Story:

Reshma (Vidya Balan) runs away from her home and goes to Kollywood (Tamil cinema industry) hoping to become a big actress. After struggling for some time, she gets the break in films as an item girl and her name is changed to Silk. She is a diehard fan of superstar Suryakanth (Naseeruddeen Shah), who falls for her ‘services’ and gives her the desired break in film industry. Within no time Silk becomes a star and Suryakanth doesn’t like her growth. His true colors are shown later and then Silk gets close with Suryakanth’s brother Ramakanth (Tushar Kapoor), who is also a writer. Ramakanth plans to marry her but her over-abusive nature doesn’t work for him. Silk gets addicted to drinking and becomes highly arrogant. Finally she decides to produce a film on her own and lose all the money earned. With the rise of other item girls, Silk is left with no offers on hands and goes bankrupt. A director Abraham (Emraan Hashmi) who hates her to the core starts to like her and when he tries to set things right for Silk, she commits suicide.

Analysis:

The Dirty Picture offers you what was promised in the promotion campaign. It is Dirty in the first hour with Vidya Balan showing off everything she has got and also speaking filth all the time. There is ample entertainment in the first half and the interval point is very good.

After the interval, the film slides down a bit and start dragging as the film heads towards the climax. Suddenly the characters behave more dramatic and the entertainment goes for a toss. Climax portions are not convincing enough. The situations which lead to end Silk’s life aren’t strong.

Despite the hiccups, The Dirty Picture will work for the first half which is worth the ticket price. If you look for a complete film, you might end up in disappointment. But if you go to the theaters expecting a sizzling show from Vidya Balan, you will come out more than satisfied.

Performances:

Vidya Balan is the ‘hero’ of this film. She did a terrific job as Silk. It is a very difficult role which might give the cheap image for the actress forever. But Vidya pulled it off with ease. The rise and fall of the character are expressed wonderfully through her. She has put on oodles of weight for the role and that shows the commitment of the actress.

Emraan Hashmi is effective and made his presence felt. Naseeruddeen Shah is perfect. Tushar Kapoor is a letdown.

Technicalities:

Vishal Sekhar’s music is fine. Ooh lala oo lala is a chartbuster. Script provided by Rajat Arora is half baked. He should have explored and exposed more details about Silk Smitha’s life. The rise and fall of the actress are not properly written. There seems to be some hurriedness in that aspect. Bobby Singh’s cinematography is neat. Akiv Ali could have edited the dragging portions in the second half.

Director Milan Luthria did a fine job. He is not the script writer of the film and so we can’t blame him for the shortcomings. Direction in the climax portions is not up to the mark though.

Final Word:

The Dirty Picture can be watched for Vidya Balan’s performance as well as skin show. If you look for a good story and a heart touching film, it falls short of expectations. It will surely rock the box office and would be a smash hit given its budget.

On Thursday night, for the first time ever, an engagement ceremony was telecast live in India.

It was veteran actor and politician Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan Tej and Apollo Group of Hospitals’ chairman C Pratap Reddy’s granddaughter Upasana Kamineni’s big day.

While the two shweethearts exchanged rings, the young actor’s fans and followers could enjoy the function on their television screens. Thanks to the multi-camera setup that captured the event, the online editing of the footage and the final telecast across various satellite channels in the country.

A private event, only selected high profile guests were sent bar coded invitation cards for the event. However, the star did not feel like leaving out his many fans, claimed industry insiders. Thus the idea of a live telecast of the engagement ceremony was born.

Story:
Bejawada is ruled by Khali (Prabhu), who runs a parallel government in the town. His younger brother Shankar (Abhimanyu Singh) is power thirsty and is jealous about Vijay Krisha (Mukul Dev), who is a close aide to Khali. Out of desperation to be the ruler, Shankar eliminates his brother and lock horns with Vijay Krishna.

Shankar successfully kills Vijay Krishna and the latter’s younger brother Shiva (Naga Chaitanya) avenges his brother’s death. How Shiva kills Shankar and wipes out his empire forms rest of the story.

Analysis:
Like it was publicized Bejawada is not a realistic look on the history nor does it bear any references to what ‘actually’ happened. Looks like the filmmakers tried to cash in on the ‘curious factor’ that is associated with Bejawada rowdy-ism. This is a routine revenge drama where two groups fight for the upper hand.

Obviously good wins over evil! So there needs to be a tight and arresting screenplay for such films to keep the audience interested. Unfortunately, Bejawada lacks the bite! It is a very dull film with poor screenplay. Everything goes as per the audience predictions. It also ends on a predictable note.

First half is mainly focused on the gang politics in which hero is left in the background. He comes to the front in the second hour, but a poor script lets the film down. One would expect a tense thriller out of this concept. But the director’s inability to highlight the emotions seems to be the biggest drawback of the film.

Second hour is sheer test of patience and it would be an almost impossible task to sit through it. It may appeal to people who look for excessive violence in a film.

Performances:
Naga Chaitanya didn’t suit the role. He is good in portraying romantic characters. He needs some time to take up such high voltage films. His costumes and looks are good. He should focus on his diction as soon as possible. It is the main drawback for him as an actor at present.

Amala Paul has good looks but her role is half baked. Abhimanyu Singh is menacing as the bad boy. Prabhu and Mukul Dev are alright. Ajay, Kota Srinivasa Rao and others did their bit. Brahmanandam is wasted.

Technicalities:
Music is composed by almost half a dozen people. The output is mediocre. None of the songs really made any impact and the background score is too loud. Cinematography is bad. The camera angles and the technique used will let us down. Editing is jerky and unconvincing. There are many jump cuts and irrelevant opening and closings of the scenes. Production values are of low standard. The film is made on a shoe string budget.

Director Vivek Krishna tried to ape Ram Gopal Varma in terms of storytelling and camera angles. His output is not up to the mark. He didn’t do justice to any of the emotions. Be it agony, romance or comedy. When the director doesn’t want to highlight any of the historical facts, then why did he opt for Vijayawada rowdy-ism backdrop is a million dollars question.

Final Word:
Bejawada may appeal to mass audience that look for some action and violence. People who expect a sensible or a sensational film from RGV’s camp will be terribly disappointed.

London: Social network Facebook is preparing to allow private investors to invest in the website next year, and hopes its first offering will value the company at over $100 billion, a media report said Tuesday.

The Wall Street Journal said a source familiar with the matter claims Facebook was preparing to launch an initial public stock offering (IPO) next year.

Facebook now reportedly has more than 800 million members, Sky News said.

Facebook's chief financial officer David Ebersman has discussed a public float with bankers but founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg has not decided on any terms and his plans could change, the daily said.

The company was started seven years ago by Zuckerberg in a Harvard University dormitory room.

Story:

What is that condition? What happens to Gautam’s love story? Will he remain Solo again? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances
Nara Rohit is handsome and has intense eyes with assertive voice. He needs to loosen his body a bit and show expressions on his face and come out of the stiff posture. But still, he covered his drawbacks with good confidence and dialogue delivery. On a whole he suits for roles like tough cop and action oriented performances than a sentimental lover boy.

Nisha Agarwal looks cute and conveys most of her thoughts through her eyes. Acting wise, she must work on performance during emotional scenes. She has potential.

Prakash Raj is impressive as usual. No doubt he is called the powerhouse actor. His versatility and strong screen presence adds value to the film.

A special mention goes to Srinivasa Reddy. He got the big responsibility of leading the comedy track and he did full justice to that. His role was lengthy and the opportunity was utilised properly. He deserves to be given more encouragement and roles.

Sayaji Shinde was standard, Jayasudha was natural, Ravu Ramesh was not used to his potential, the girl who did Nisha’s friend’s role scored few points, M S Narayana brought few smiles, Ali was witty. Pavitra Lokesh looks graceful. Good to see Mumaith Khan back and that too in shape. The others did their bit as required.

The concept of joint families sounded ideal and possible during the olden days. We were not in a global economy then and families relied on agriculture or family professions. However, times have changed and life’s demands have made it practically impossible for dreaming of a joint family in today’s times. But there are rare practices like ‘Tharaveedu’ among joint family lovers. Many families in Kerala still keep the tradition of joint family alive by spending their annual vacation in Tharaveedu (ancestral home) where all members come together. But in majority cases, the joint families have lost importance as people turned more practical. And this applies to all social classes.

While looking at the film, this is the approach audience will have. But then, more than the concept, it is the content which surpasses all. It is supported by strong emotional graph and the stress on values of family and relationships is what scores the brownie points.

Secondly, it is the dialogues which are written with sensibility and maturity.

Young tiger Jr NTR’s Dammu movie is currently undergoing shoot in Pollachi. The unit is canning canon blasting action scenes in Pollachi today. However, the shooting was cancelled and was postponed to December 3 due to a huge mishap. The shooting was taking place near a river and one of the production boys got into the river to set right the camera angle or something. Suddenly with the flow of water intensifying, the boy drowned in the river while fixing the camera. A search was conducted by the unit but they could not trace him. Worst - No one knows about the poor boy’s whereabouts. Eventually, the movie unit silently escaped from the scene. Dammu movie is directed by Boyapati Seenu.

Before and after the movie kicked off, they have considered several titles like ‘Shadow’, ‘Kaali’, ‘Power’ and so on. Just when the makers were planning to lock the title ‘Power’, director Krish (Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi) had a word or two with Pawan Kalyan and the makers. Krish is a very good associate of Shobu Yarlagadda and both already worked for ‘Vedam’. So Krish suggested a title ‘Panjaa’! 3 Producers Of Dookudu Raided By IT

Income-tax officials searc-hed the offices and residences of the producers of the film Dookudu on Mon-day for three hours.

The producers, Anil Sun-kura and Ram and Gopi Achanta were reportedly in Kochi when the raids were conducted.

“Our accountant and employees in our office near Padmalaya Studios were specifically asked about VAT dues on the total gross of the film,” said a source.

Although the producers remitted advance VAT of Rs 2 crore prior to the release of the film, figures appearing in the press, and the pronouncement of the producers themselves that the gross collection was Rs 85 crore across India, has cau-ght the attention of the income-tax department. If the figure of Rs 85 crore is true, the producers have to shell out 11 per cent of that amo-unt in VAT, which works out to around Rs 8.5 crore.

The investigating officials have seized daily collections reports, VAT receip-ts and other documents in the raids, according to the source. They also carried newspaper cuttings about the collection figures and grilled a few employees. All three producers were unavailable for comment and their phones were switched off.
